Russia and Serbia negotiate US sanctions against NIS
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today that the competent structures of Russia and Serbia are holding talks to resolve issues related to US sanctions against the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS), according to some sources. Serbian media.

"There is a problem with US sanctions against NIS. Negotiations are underway to find a solution, they are being conducted through the competent structures," Zakharova said at a briefing.
The US imposed sanctions on NIS in January and is demanding the complete withdrawal of Russian structures from the ownership of the Serbian company, RIA Novosti reports.
Russia's Gazprom and Gazprom Neft are the majority owners of NIS with a 56,15 percent stake, while the second largest shareholder is the state of Serbia with a 29,87 percent stake.
