Russia removes nuclear warheads from missiles and targets Ukraine?

Britain's Ministry of Defense has said that images obtained from open sources show the remains of an air-launched cruise missile in Ukraine, which appears to be a missile from the 1980s that was armed with a nuclear warhead. The ministry added that the warhead was probably replaced by ballast.

Such a missile would cause damage from the missile's kinetic energy and unspent fuel, but would still be unlikely to achieve reliable effects against intended targets, the British Ministry of Defense said in its daily intelligence bulletin posted on Twitter.

"Whatever Russia's intention, this improvisation highlights the level of depletion of Russia's long-range missile stockpile," British intelligence said.
