Russia is ready to defend itself by all means, Lavrov said
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said he hoped the West "took seriously" the recent use of a hypersonic missile against Ukraine and warned Russia was ready to use "all means" to defend itself.
- The US and its allies, which supply long-range weapons to the regime in Kiev, must understand that we are ready to use all means to prevent them from succeeding in what they call the strategic defeat of Russia, Lavrov said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson published yesterday in Moscow.
Lavrov also said it was crucial for Russia that Ukraine not be in NATO because that alliance "must not be on Russia's borders."
