"We are a country that has raised the issue of the rights of the smaller ethnic communities at an extremely high level and we are the only country in Europe that has a ministry for the smaller ethnic communities," the Prime Minister said today. Dimitar Kovacevski, answering a journalist question whether the Government is considering establishing an institution that will work for the rights of Bulgarians as requested by his Bulgarian counterpart Kiril Petkov.

According to Kovacevski, only we in Europe have legal solutions that promote the rights of smaller communities in every sense - from the use of languages, through equal access to employment in the public sector, to various government programs within the budget, as well as through other institutions that are formed.

The Prime Minister emphasized that in this country all citizens have equal chances for personal and professional development.

- We also have an ombudsman's office that takes care of the rights of all citizens, including the Bulgarian minority, ie citizens who self-determine as citizens in the country, so it is normal that if someone is endangered they can do it through those institutions. , and of course the capacity of the institutions can be increased at any time and it is good to increase the capacity of the institutions because all citizens in this country, we and the government program have put and our Constitution provides that for all citizens this country is a place where everyone has equal opportunities for both personal and professional development, said Kovacevski before addressing the panel organized within the event "Socio-political participation of young people."
