Romania is the next challenge for volleyball players in the European Silver League
The volleyball team of Macedonia today at 13 pm in Galati against Romania will play the second match in the European Silver League. The volleyball players started the new edition of the European national team competition with a 3-0 triumph in sets against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The convincing victory increased the optimism of the volleyball players, and the captain Nikola Gjorgiev expects the younger members of the national team to slowly take most of the responsibility.
- Congratulations to the younger ones, it is not easy. We seniors lead this selection, we fight non-stop. I want to be constant in the final four tournaments, at the European Championships, I thank you for all that you played phenomenally against BiH. We started the European Silver League with a victory, but we still have matches, the next one is against Romania. They are a good team, but they are not invincible. We know some of the players, I expect to give the maximum and we are going to win - says Gjorgiev.
Romania's national team also started their performance in the European Silver League with a victory, celebrating with 3: 1 against Albania on the road.
Macedonia and Romania have played two official matches so far, six years ago in the European Championship qualifiers. Both national teams have one victory each, Macedonia celebrated with 3: 1 at home, while Romania won with 3: 0.
