Even one month after the strike of the employees in the Registry Office, there is no dialogue with the Government or announcement that their demands for higher salaries will be met, react the Independent Trade Union of the Registry Office of the Confederation of Trade Unions.

- The colleagues from the Registry Office have been on strike for almost a month. We have never had such an arrogant attitude on the part of the Government and institutions. Employees agree to persevere in the strike. The strikers are being pressured, threatened with 40 per cent pay less and threatened with relocation to work in another city. We will not allow those pressures. I publicly say what they want them to do, we do not give in to them, Marjan Risteski, President of KSOM, is decisive.

Independent trade unions react because they are excluded from the social dialogue with the Government where the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia appears as the main negotiator.

- We are not interested in what is happening with SSM and the Government. Without the involvement of independent unions in social dialogue, there will be no peace in Macedonia. I urge us to sit at a common table, to find a solution. "Is the government starting to divide the employees, is it a government of all citizens or has it started electing them, are they eligible, do they intend to continue the dialogue with the independent unions," Risteski asks.

The Registry Office has 500 employees, and most of them have been on strike for almost a month. The trade unions from KSOM that organized this strike are most hurt by the fact that no one talks to them, but only to SSM.

- This is their game. They ask for 2.800 denars, they do not give them. And 2.800 denars are nothing on this inflation. There is money, billions will be borrowed. One union in the country cannot just talk. There are 650 total employees in the administration, and CCM does not have more than 000 members. Pluralism in the trade union movement must be allowed, Risteski is decisive.

He announced a blockade of the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, but did not say what it would look like. Risteski stressed that the employees of the Registry Office who are on strike are under pressure from their superiors, but they will not give in.

For a month now, only emergency documents have been issued by the Registry Office due to the strike. Independent unions demanded a collective agreement at the employer level, a linear wage increase and job promotion, which was rejected by the Ministry of Justice, which assessed the proposed collective agreement as contrary to the Law on Administrative Servants.

According to the audit in 2019, the Registry Office issued a total of 21.957 false certificates, ie 4 percent of the total issued certificates were with errors.
