Rexhepi to abolish the appanage: The institution of MP is disparaged
MPs are reluctant to talk about whether and how they voted for the Left's proposal to be abolished the appanage, who did not pass the Parliament yesterday and received minimal support from only 16 MPs. Only the MP from the ruling Alternative, Skender Rexhepi, confirmed that they did not vote for the proposal.
For me personally, it does not matter whether there will be an appanage or not, but I am certainly bothered by the populism of the proposer and the disparagement of the MP institution by them. The institution of MP is the will of the citizens brought to the elections, and is a responsibility to state policies, development and security as well as the welfare of citizens, and any equality of that institution with general jobs (with all due respect to all other jobs) is an insult to the institution MP and the responsibility that follows according to the constitution of RSM - says Rexhepi.
