Recipe: Add one secret ingredient to the beans and they'll be cooked in 45 minutes

Beans are one of our favorite dishes, but housewives know that it is not so simple to prepare bean stew. There are various theories and tricks that do not involve soaking the beans overnight in cold water.

One of the variants is the use of an express pot, which shortens the cooking process, and not only for beans. And if you don't have a pressure cooker, then you'll have to apply some of these tips that more experienced cooks have been using for years.

It is a good idea to add a teaspoon of baking soda to the water when first boiling the beans. Let the beans boil for at least 15 minutes, then drain the water and add a little oil. Mix well, making sure the oil is distributed throughout each grain.

Pour cold water in the beans in a ratio of 4:1, add 50 ml of brandy and cook. Let it simmer for 45-50 minutes and you should have fully cooked beans.

And last but not least, the cooking time of the beans depends primarily on their type and quality. Bad quality and old beans may never cook to perfection, no matter how long they spend in the pot.
