Real Madrid raised a € 2019 million loan in 575 to renovate the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, and now plans to raise an additional € 225 million to complete the renovation.

The final decision on the new loan should be made at the meeting of Real Madrid which will be held on Saturday.

According to the initial agreement with the banks from 2019, Real Madrid received 575 million euros for the "Santiago Bernabeu" to make a football facility with a multifunctional purpose and which could be used throughout the year.

The purpose of the renovation of the stadium is to increase revenue from the current 150 million euros per year to as much as 400 million euros.

In the last decade, Real Madrid has increased its revenues several times, which in 2019 amounted to 800 million euros, and in 2020 the club ended the year in a plus despite the coronavirus pandemic.
