With this letter, I want to inform the Macedonian sports public and the Macedonian sports institutions: the Agency for Youth and Sports, the Macedonian Olympic Committee (IOC) and all the clubs that are members of the Karate Federation of the Republic of North Macedonia (KFRSM), that I, Boshko Zaborski, currently a member of the Board of Directors of KFRSM and its vice-president, I do not agree and oppose the already voted Rulebook for the work and selection of the state representatives. I do not support the policy imposed by the new leadership of KFRSM.

I STATE PUBLICLY MY STANDING POSITION: I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE RULES FOR WORK AND SELECTION OF STATE REPRESENTATIVES WHICH WAS VOTED ELECTRONICLY AND WITHOUT CONSULTATION WITH OUR AFFIRMED CLUBS AND COACHES.

The rulebook for selection and work with state selections is the most important legal document in the Federation. With a well-composed rulebook that has clear selection criteria and with its help, the entire work of the clubs and coaches is controlled.

The drafter of the draft regulation, without any announcement or consultation, did this secretly, planned and in a narrow circle of like-minded people who are currently officials and lead the Federation. The Rulebook passed in this way will only help for increased and complete control and privatization of KFRSM.
With the introduction of this Rulebook into force, all clubs that have representatives, especially in senior, U21 and junior competition, will be completely dependent on only one person, and that is the selectors of those selections, close to the newly elected president of KFRSM.

With this Rulebook, the selectors are given unlimited rights and opportunities to choose the representatives and the composition of the selections. In this Rulebook, there are no criteria by which the national team members will be selected, that is, a criterion can always be invented on the basis of a subjective remark according to which the better athlete can be removed from the national team and for that the club, the athlete and his relatives cannot have no remark on the selection of the selector.

It is worrying that we have a direct reaction to a dozen karate clubs, and the new management has no ear to hear the opinions of the coaches and clubs that are most affected by the adoption of the new Rulebook.

The regulation is UNACCEPTABLE because:
❖ It is subjective in many parts, that is, it provides the opportunity for immense and uncontrolled subjectivity in the selection of the representatives in all selections.
❖ It is discriminatory in every respect and will be declared as such by the RSM Discrimination Commission.
❖ There are no clear criteria for selecting the representatives. In many parts, it leaves the possibility of manipulation, bias, subjectivity, and therefore this rulebook will suit only the athletes from the club or clubs close to the coach.
❖ It contains excessive rights that are given to selectors for selecting athletes, for punishing, making decisions, initiating disciplinary procedures. With this Rulebook, selectors will be able to blackmail athletes, clubs and coaches for entering the national team.
❖ At any moment, only based on one's own assessment or personal opinion, a change of athlete is allowed. The national champion can be replaced at any time even by a third, fourth or fifth placed athlete close to the club of the selector or the president.
❖ By indirect and direct coercion to influence clubs and athletes to be good executors, poltroons and henchmen.
❖ With this Rulebook, the representation in almost all age categories will be assembled in advance. The basic meaning of holding state championships, election championships and control tournaments is simply lost.
❖ Only athletes who are close to the president and the group of selectors who choose each other will have the privilege to wear the national jersey.
❖ The power in the management and management of the federation will again be with only 3-4 people. Only they will decide on all issues related to the interests of athletes, coaches and clubs.
❖ This way of working will contribute to the common finances from KFRSM being used unilaterally, strictly controlled and managed only by a small group of people. These are finances to which all clubs contribute through the payment of annual membership fees, club registrations, athlete registrations, obtaining federation vouchers, club vouchers, athlete vouchers and AMS funds which are received by plan and program of work.
❖ The majority of quality athletes will be marginalized and unfairly removed from the national team, and there will be many of them due to the new situation in which we will have privileged clubs and coaches. That's why we will have a mass cancellation of athletes from active training and performance in the karate federation.

KFRSM should not have allowed the approval of this Rulebook because in its drafting it did not ask for the opinion of any proven and deserving club or coach who has done more for the federation so far than the current management combined. There was no consensus, contractual framework and consent for the proposal and acceptance of this Rulebook by all the clubs and coaches who selflessly contributed to the affirmation and achievement of results in the KFRSM. On the contrary, every day you have numerous letters in which the clubs point out that you are going in the wrong political direction in our Federation.

KFRSM is not a private property, even the chairs on which its leadership sits in the office were bought with our money. Therefore, we, the clubs and coaches who work and are affected, will fight for our rights and for our Federation.
