The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services strongly condemns the improper attitude of the director of the Skopje-North heating plant, Kushtrim Ramadani, towards the journalist Katerina Dodevska on the "MKD.mk" portal.

-Using vulgar insults must in no case be a way of communication for public office holders, because by accepting the position, their work is subject to public scrutiny and potentially strong public criticism through the media. At the same time, they should be aware that they are responsible for every word they say and that they must refrain from any kind of improper and inappropriate communication, the Agency informs.

From there, they emphasize that obstructing the work of journalists is a threat to freedom and the right to information.

- It is necessary to enable media workers to perform their duties professionally, first of all, taking into account their role in opening issues of public interest and ensuring transparency and responsibility of political and public bodies, AVMU emphasizes.

The reaction of the AVMU comes after the director of the Skopje-North heating plant, Kushtrim Ramadani, insulted the journalist Katerina Dodevska, who politely and correctly asked him for answers to several questions regarding the supply of heat energy to the residents in this part of Skopje.
