American actors, musicians and athletes are deeply saddened by the tragedy that happened in the primary school in Texas and called for stronger arms control in that country.

The 52-year-old actor encouraged Americans to find a "common language" in order to stop the mass shootings.

"And to those who have left their loved ones today unaware that it is a farewell, not a single word can comprehend or heal your loss, but if prayers can provide comfort, we will continue to pray," McConaughey concluded.

The actor joined the appeal for stronger control and change of the law on possession of weapons Chris Evans.

"Enough is enough !!!" Evans, 40, wrote on his Twitter account.

The famous singer also announced herself Selena Gomez which also originates from Texas.
