Germany's Federal Crime Agency (BKA) predicts that inflation and rising energy prices could have a negative impact on internal security in the country and trigger similar protests as during the coronavirus pandemic, the German media reported today.

– We can expect a similar situation as during the protests against the measures to suppress the pandemic, when a significant part of the population ce felt threatened by political decisions, ce says in the assessment of the BKA, quoted by the Tagesspiegel newspaper.

According to the same report, extreme Islamist forces could use the existing crisis situation to act.

- We register calls for attacks on the economic infrastructure, ce states in the BKA documents.

It is also reported that a leader of the "Islamic State" called on followers in Europe to take advantage of the Russian war against Ukraine and the "unstable political situation in Europe". In addition to the spread of unrest instigated by right-wing extremists and Islamists, the BKA also expects violent actions from the forces of the extreme left.

- We expect protests and criminal acts as and previous years, as and blockades of facilities from the energy infrastructure", ce says in the report.

A few days ago, a group of climate activists blocked the operation of a coal-fired power plant in eastern Germany in half den.

BKA expects that extreme right-wing forces could also carry out attacks on politicians, as which was the case during the pandemic.
