The handball players of South Korea triumphed at the World Cadet Championship that was played in Skopje
The South Korean U18 national team triumphed at the World Cadet Championship held in Skopje after defeating Denmark in the final with 31:27.
In the exciting final, both national teams had their moments, the start belonged to the South Korean women's handball players, who were the first to gain an advantage of more than two goals (8:5), the Danish women made a turnaround and took the lead with 11:14. However, with the end of the first part, South Korea managed to come to rest and leave with a draw 15:15.
In the second half, the first blow was given by Denmark, whose handball players led 20:22, and South Korea's answer was a series of 4:0 to lead to 24:22. The South Koreans managed to keep the advantage of two goals thanks to the cheerful goalkeeper Kim who saved several shots at the moments when the Danes were trying to catch a scoring plug.
In the end, South Korea won with 31:27.
In the match for the third place and the bronze medal, Hungary defeated the Netherlands with 27:26 thanks to the penalty in the last seconds.
Macedonia, which was the organizer of the Cadet World Cup, won 12th place.
