Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny have donated £20 towards the treatment of a seriously ill girl
The Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds and his colleague Rob McElhenny donated £20.000 to help the four-year-old girl Aria Hodgkiss, who is fighting a rare brain tumor, writes "BBC".
A "GoFundMe" account has been opened for the girl, which is intended for the costs of her treatment. £20k was missing to raise the required sum of £60k. The actors decided to help by paying the remaining amount needed.
Aria was diagnosed with a form of tumor that did not respond well to chemotherapy.
"I am crying from happiness. I can't believe they donated. Unbelievable," said Aria's mother, Melanie.
For Ryan, this is not the first humanitarian action in which he participates. Together with his wife Blake Lively donated one million dollars to the non-profit organizations "Feeding America" and "Food Banks Canada", which care for those most affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
"Coronavirus has brutally hit the elderly and reduced family incomes. If you can give, these organizations need our help. "Don't forget the lonely and the isolated," Blake wrote at the time.
