Raphael Varane ended his international career at the age of 29
The excellent one French defender Rafael Varane (29) decided to end his representative career.
The defender of Manchester United he plays at the highest level, and is just entering the zenith of his career, but he no longer wants to play for the "tricolors" for which he played 93 games and scored five goals.
Varane was irreplaceable in the team coach Didier Deschamps at the previous two world championships.
In Russia in 2018, Varane commanded the defense of the world champions, while at the World Cup in Qatar last year, after penalties against Argentina, another world crown escaped him.
He made his debut for the national selection in 2013 in the qualifiers for Brazil World Cup 2014 against Georgia when his national team won 3:1.
Two years later, France hosted the European Championship which was won by Portugal, and Varane played an important role on the way to the final. With the national team, he won the cup in the League of Nations in 2021.
