Radev announced that he would provide all the conditions so that there would be time for dialogue between the parties
The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, announced that he will provide the parliamentary parties with all the conditions according to the Constitution, so that they have enough time for dialogue and talks to form a stable majority for the formation of the government of the country.
Next week, after talks with the parties, Radev will announce when he will convene the 48th National Assembly of Bulgaria.
"Now is not the time for cowardice and narrow party calculations. Bulgaria needs a working parliament, because our constitutional model of governance rests on it. It is time to take responsibility for political courage", said Rumen Radev.
He pointed out that the result of the elections does not give an opportunity to form a coalition easily, but people expect dialogue, understanding, reason and finding common solutions and interests, because Bulgaria needs a functional parliament and a stable government.
"And these elections, unfortunately, failed to stop the trend of alienation from the parties and the government," he said.
What is more worrying, according to his words, is that "raising new red lines and looking for all possible reasons for rejecting coalitions betrays the fear that the parties will take responsibility for the management in the winter".
According to Radev, the transitional government built a stable foundation in just two months, from which the next regular government should be able to lead the country during the winter without any particular difficulties.
The head of the Bulgarian state is leaving for Prague today to represent it at the first summit in the "European Political Community" format, uniting 44 countries, BTA reported.
