Siljanovska-Davkova and Bulgarian President Rumen Radev did not meet in Rome, although both delegations are attending an audience with Pope Francis. As Radev stated, due to the packed program organized to the minute, the Bulgarian delegation could not meet the Macedonian delegation.

Rumen Radev invited Siljanovska-Davkova to a meeting in Bulgaria and hopes that they will meet "an hour soon".

- It is a positive sign that the President of the Republic of North Macedonia showed a desire for such a meeting. I believe that the desire of the Republic of North Macedonia for dialogue is a positive sign. Only through dialogue will we strengthen mutual trust, resolve all disputed issues and open the RSM's door to the EU. I hope and my appeal is that this meeting will happen an hour soon. It is the turn of the president of RSM, if I am not mistaken, to come to Bulgaria, Radev said.

President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova leads the state-church delegation in Rome and the Vatican as part of the celebration of May 24, the Day of All-Slavic educators, the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius. This is her first visit abroad after taking office on May 12.
