Bulgarian President Rumen Radev met today in Sofia with Ljupcho Georgievski, president of the defunct Bulgarian club "Ivan Mihailov" from Bitola. According to a statement from Radev's office, Georgievski expressed hope that the Bulgarian community in Macedonia will be included in the Constitution as soon as possible, thus "constitutional guarantees for the protection of their rights will be created, the country's path will be opened for the start of negotiations for EU membership, as well as cultural and educational exchange between the two countries will be stimulated."

Radev expects Macedonia "to include the Bulgarians in the constitution of the country as soon as possible and to continue with the implementation of the bilateral Agreement on Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation, which is an integral part of the negotiation framework. This is an expected and important step for the development of full-fledged cooperation between Bulgaria and the RSM, as well as for the stability and prosperity of the entire region."

Two days ago, the trial of Ljupco Georgievski continued in Bitola. The "Vancho Mihailov" club has been deleted from the Central Register, but now the members registered a new club under the name "Edna roza" and kept the premises in the building on "Rooseveltova" street in Bitola in the former Jewish quarter. Georgievski's lawyer, Naser Raufi, is prolonging the trial indefinitely, and announced that he will continue the legal battle in Strasbourg. The next hearing is scheduled for January 28.

The members of the deleted association "Vancho Mihailov" will appeal in Strasbourg
