Active job seekers who register regularly are 107.558 people in the country. But the statistics show that 73.478 are without education, with primary education, or with incomplete secondary education

According to today's data of the Employment Agency, there are 8.484 vacancies, while the latest statistics show that the total number of unemployed as of March is 154.145 unemployed.

Such statistics are in contrast to the daily complaints of employers, who say they cannot find workers and insist on loosening regulations on labor imports. Foreigners, especially from Turkey, have been working in the construction sector for a long time, and the first workers from India came to work in a farm from Sveti Nikole.

Employers say that it is not just a matter of finding a worker, but that he should also be able to perform the work tasks.

The statistics of the Employment Agency show that of these 154.145 unemployed, 46.557 are registered as passive unemployed, that is, they do not register regularly but only once a year, mainly for health insurance.

The Employment Agency says that it is not known how many of the passive jobseekers are actually in the country and that it is necessary to establish a relationship with the border services for the registration of those who have been absent from the country for a long time and who enter only occasionally.

There are 107.558 active job seekers who register regularly in the country. But the statistics show that 73.478 are without education, with primary education, or with incomplete secondary education who are poorly competitive in the labor market. But on the other hand, 583 masters and 18 doctors of science are also actively looking for work. The age structure of the job seekers is also unfavorable, 41 percent of them, ie 43.992 are over 50 years old.

Regarding the supply of jobs, about 27 percent are in the manufacturing industry, followed by trade. A third sector that requires the most workers is in accommodation and food service facilities.
