Rabb: We want better relations with Moscow, but we will make it pay for its malicious behavior
London wants to improve relations with Moscow, but will respond to "malicious actions", said today the head of British diplomacy, Dominic Rabb.
- We need to adapt to the new threats we face. We will do this by making it clear to Russia and other hostile states that we will hold them accountable and force them to pay for their malicious behavior. - Rabb told "Sky News".
But he says London also wants to improve relations with Moscow.
"The door to diplomacy always remains open to improve behavior," he said.
British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace recently said there was increased activity on Russian ships off the British coast, calling Russia an enemy and a major threat..
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously said that Russia has no intention of attacking anyone. According to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the North Atlantic Alliance is aware that Moscow is not planning to attack anyone, but simply uses the pretext of deploying more troops near Russia's borders. Moscow has repeatedly expressed concern about the increase in Alliance forces in Europe.
