R. Kelly convicted of pedophilia: The rapper guilty of child pornography
The rapper Р. Kelly (55) has been found guilty of three counts of child pornography and sexual abuse in Chicago, dealing another legal blow to the rapper, who was once one of the biggest R&B stars in the world.
R. Kelly was found guilty of three counts of child pornography and three counts of child enticement.
A jury acquitted him of a fourth count of pornography, as well as a charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice, accusing him of rigging his 2008 state child pornography trial.
Let us recall, R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison at the end of June this year, months after being convicted of all nine counts of sexual abuse.
Kelly was convicted in September of racketeering and violating a law that prohibits transporting people across state lines "for any immoral purpose."
The sentence was more than the 25 years federal prosecutors had sought earlier this month.
In the memo and during the trial, prosecutors argued that Kelly relied on his fame, money and popularity and the network of people around him to carry out his crimes.
