The Russian president Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin appointed a new first deputy - minister of defense and three deputy ministers, according to the decrees published today on the website of the Russian state administration.

According to the decree, Leonid Gornin has been appointed as the first deputy - minister of defense of the Russian Federation, and the deputies of the minister of defense will be Pavel Fradkov, Anna Tsiviljeva and Oleg Saveliev, who will also be the head of the cabinet of the ministry, Russian media reported.

The Russian president dismissed the first deputy - minister of defense Ruslan Chalikov, the secretary of state and deputy - minister of defense Nikolay Pankov, deputy - minister Tatiana Shevtsova, as well as the second deputy - minister of defense, general Pavel Popov, who was also dismissed from military service .
