He expressed expectation that the memorandum for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries will be signed today.
The Russian president also thanked Erdogan for the efforts he made to resolve the issue of grain deliveries from Ukraine.
For his part, Erdogan emphasized that Ankara and Moscow are about to open a new page in bilateral relations and cooperation. - I believe that our conversation will open a new page in the relations between the two countries.
"I would like to discuss the issues of energy cooperation, grain export through the Black Sea, tourism and regional issues," Erdogan said.
He indicated that one of the topics of the conversation will be the issue of Syria.
According to previous announcements, Putin and Erdogan first had a face-to-face meeting in Sochi, and then the delegations will join them. The Turkish delegation includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense and the head of the intelligence service.
The Kremlin previously announced that energy and the expansion of trade and economic ties will be discussed.
"In accordance with the agreements reached at the bilateral meeting of the presidents in Tehran on July 19, it is planned to discuss in detail the topic of Russian-Turkish multilateral cooperation, including the prospects for further expansion of trade and economic ties and the implementation of joint strategic projects in the energy sector. sector," the Kremlin statement said.
This is the second meeting between Erdogan and Putin in 17 days, after they previously met in Tehran, at a trilateral meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
