Putin and Erdogan are meeting in Sochi today
The presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, are discussing energy and the expansion of trade and economic ties in Sochi today, the Kremlin said.
"According to the agreements reached at the bilateral meeting of the presidents in Tehran on July 19, it is planned to discuss in detail the subject of Russian-Turkish multilateral cooperation, including the prospects for further expansion of trade-economic ties and implementation of joint strategic projects in the energy sector" , the Kremlin statement said.
Putin and Erdogan will also discuss current topics on the international agenda.
It will be the second meeting of Erdogan and Putin in 17 days, because they previously met in Tehran, at a trilateral meeting with the president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, Anadolia reminds.
