Putin arrived in Minsk for a two-day visit to Belarus

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Minsk for a two-day visit, accepting an invitation from Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

The visit is part of several foreign tours to mark the start of Putin's fifth term, underscoring close ties with a neighboring ally that has been key to Russia's military operations in Ukraine.

Putin traveled to China earlier this month and is expected to arrive in Uzbekistan on Sunday.

Earlier, the Russian president hosted the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in the Kremlin.
