Ljupco Palevski was brought to court, before a judge of a preliminary procedure, for the first time after fleeing to Turkey as part of the investigation into the murders of Vanja Gjorchevska and Pance Žezhovski.

He was conducted by the police with his head down in a move known as "lever". The journalists who were present asked him several questions: Did he commit the murders, will he defend himself by remaining silent, is there evidence that he did not commit the murders of Gjorchevska and Žežovski.

He only answered in the negative to the question of whether he killed Žežovski and Gjorčevska and that there is evidence for that.

Ljupco Palevski is the first suspect for the kidnapping and murder of Veleska hairdresser Pance Žezhovski and minor Vanja Gjorchevska from Skopje.
