First results in the USA: Trump is in the lead
Former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump, according to CNN projections, will win in the federal state of Indiana.
American media have already reported that Trump won Kentucky and Indiana, but also West Virginia, while Kamala Harris triumphed in Vermont. These results were expected and for now there is no surprise.
According to projections, these victories gave Trump 23 electoral votes, while Harris has only three.
Otherwise, at least 270 electors are needed to win the presidential elections.
