At the railway station in Veles from July 1 to October 15, the fire train with two wagons and four tank tanks with 20 or a total of 80 tons of water covering the entire railway in the country from Veles to Gevgelija, Kremenica Bitola, Kocani, Kicevo and Tabanovci.

The train for which a locomotive is provided at any moment can extinguish fires up to 50 meters on both sides around the railway. Simultaneously with the fire-fighting train in cases of large fires, and where there are no conditions from the road traffic, it supplies water to the fire-fighting tanks of the fire-fighting units from all cities along the railway.

As reported by MIA, from the Railway Station in Veles, this firefighting train in the past over 20 summers has been of great help in a large number of fires to firefighting units from all cities in the country, and the local population along the railway.

The train also took part in burning dry grass and forest around the railway.

They inform that the train this summer for 40 days, after it has been in operation, had no interventions, but the team of three trained firefighters - one commander and two firefighters employed by the Macedonian Railways, in four shifts 24 hours are ready.

They explain that the water for the tanks on the fire train is filled by the hydrants at each railway station along the railway.
