"Velicie" protest in front of the Constitutional Court of Bulgaria over the confiscated votes

Supporters of the Bulgarian party "Velicie" protested in front of the Constitutional Court of Bulgaria today.

The party failed to enter the National Assembly by 21 votes in the last parliamentary elections in October last year.

In front of the Constitutional Court in Sofia, party members and supporters chanted "we are not phantoms," but the Court has not yet issued any decision.

So far, the Constitutional Court has not ruled on their lawsuits about election irregularities.

After an appointed graphological examination and opening of the bags in almost 20 percent of all sections, the court granted the plaintiffs access to the materials from February 19 to 21, inclusive, and the parties will be able to submit a statement on the examined materials by February 21, 25.

A decision from the court is then expected.

The Constitutional Court accepted for review all five appeals for partial and full annulment of the October elections, uniting them into a single case.
