Austria is expelling four Russian diplomats due to alleged behavior that is not in accordance with international agreements, the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today.

Two of the four diplomats were declared persona non grata and ordered to leave the country by February 8.

They worked in the Russian embassy in Austria, while the other two worked in the Russian mission to the United Nations in Vienna, the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Acting in a manner inconsistent with international agreements is a reason often cited in espionage cases.
