EU enlargement remains a priority of the Polish presidency, Brimora told Mucunski

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, today received the Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Mariusz Brimora.

The meeting emphasized the strong and sincere relationship between the two countries, based on long-standing friendly relations. Minister Mucunski underlined the importance of Poland's support in the European integration process of North Macedonia, especially in the context of the current Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Minister Mucunski, in that regard, expressed confidence that the Polish Presidency will dynamize the accession process of North Macedonia, enabling faster progress in fulfilling the criteria for membership and integration into the European Union.

Acting Minister Brimora, meanwhile, stressed that the enlargement of the European Union to include the Western Balkan countries remains a priority of the Polish Presidency in the next six months. He welcomed the reform progress of our country, which is moving ever closer to the European family, and confirmed that Poland will continue to strongly and unequivocally support our European path.

Both sides reiterated their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and regional stability, as well as their readiness for continued efforts in promoting the values ​​and principles of the European Union, with the aim of achieving the common interest of a stable and prosperous Europe.
