The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy promoted it today the new Gender and Media website, intended for the prevention and effective protection of victims from any form of gender-based violence, with respect for basic human freedoms and rights.

As the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, we are dedicated to developing and improving national policies for the prevention and protection of victims of gender-based violence, said the Minister, said Minister Jovanka Trenchevska.

The page is administered by the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services.

The director of the Agency, Zoran Trajchevski, indicated that the purpose of the website is to be media resource center, a place where they can find resources, information, links on various aspects of gender issues, including gender-based violence, but also a place where citizens can find useful links and information, including institutions and organizations from which they can seek help in case they are subjected to gender-based violence.

I especially express my gratitude to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, from there they gave their opinions and proposals on the structure of resources that should be made available to the public in one place, as well as to civil organizations, whose focus is gender issues, the director stressed.

The website is available in Macedonian, Albanian and English. It is adapted for people with total or partial visual impairment.
