At the end of last year, the BiH Council of Ministers made a decision to ban the export of pellets. This decision sparked a revolt among the producers, who decided to file a lawsuit against Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the export ban.

The ban was enacted because of the enormously high prices for domestic customers. Then domestic pellet producers expressed their displeasure, because they believed that this would jeopardize production. Then they announced the cessation of production, but also lawsuits, which have now come true. About Klix.ba. this information was confirmed by Goran Ivanovic, representative of the pellet manufacturer.

"Manufacturers suffered some damages, so several of them filed a lawsuit. The damages are enormous, to the extent that they were brought to the brink of existence. They were even prevented from paying salaries. Especially the last extension from December to today was extremely Unnecessary. So, the decision after the lawsuit does not surprise us at all," said Goran Ivanovic.

Muhamed Helic from the company "Drvosjeca" explained to Klix.ba in more detail the reason for the lawsuit.

"The main reason for the lawsuits is the fact that numerous producers and traders in the past period procured or produced pellets at much higher prices than if they could sell them at a price limited by the entity's decisions. That in itself led to absolutely all traders and pellet producers working with a minus margin, which was determined by the inspectors who in the past period carried out targeted, but also very frequent controls of the producers and traders", said Helic.
