Two smugglers of migrants from Bitola were detained
On the highway Gevgelija - Demir Kapija, after the Marvinci interchange in the direction of the village of Udovo, yesterday, police officers from the Police Station "Bogorodica" arrested B.A. (50) and AD (47), both from Bitola, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that committed the crime of smuggling migrants.
As announced by the Ministry of Interior, during a check in Citroen Jumper truck, with Prilep license plates, driven by B.A., in which A.D. 24 migrants were found, 12 from Pakistan, five each from Syria and India and two from Afghanistan.
In coordination with the Public Prosecutor's Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption, the migrants are accommodated in the Reception-Transit Center "Vinojug" Gevgelija for further proceedings, and after fully documenting the case against both persons, appropriate charges will be filed.
