After the first public announcement expired a week ago The City of Skopje called for the one with which he was looking for carriers on lines 20 and 22, the second one ended today, for lines 9, 11 and 12. On both of them, as we know, not a single interested person applied. This means that the problems of the people of Skopje with public city transport, which is currently provided by JSP with far fewer buses than the city needs, will continue.

Carriers from associations "Makexpress and from "Freedom of transportation"they lived up to their word and none of them applied for the advertisement, "burned" by the previous cooperation with the City of Skopje and by the debt owed to them by JSP "Skopje", which has not yet been paid.

None of the drivers of "Sloboda Vravoz" registered in the new calls of the City of Skopje for private bus carriers. Now we are waiting for a meeting with Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski and we hope that it will be as soon as possible. says Kemal Murić from "Sloboda Prevoz".

Due to a meeting with the Prime Minister, the carriers removed the blockades from the streets almost two months ago. The meeting has not yet taken place, because Kovachevski has not yet received the minutes from the IRS, the contents of which were published long ago by the carriers themselves. Their patience is running out.

The patience of the JSP drivers is running out, and according to an unofficial conversation with one of the drivers, their salary has been delayed again and it is not excluded that they will protest again.

The mayor of Skopje, Danela Arsovska, recently when asked if there were applications for the City of Skopje's public call for private bus carriers, he said that no one applied, but emphasized that the City can do without private carriers.

The city of Skopje can do without private carriers, we are organizing public transport, we are reforming public transport, we will enter into a procedure for the procurement of new buses, new ecological buses, something that is also supported by the Council of the City of Skopje for the next year and with the fact that domestic legal entities were invited to call on the advertisement as carriers and do this work for themselves if they want honestly, and no one applied, that says a lot - said Arsovska.

From this time distance, the statement of the secretary of the City of Skopje, Zoran Gligorov, who, immediately after the publication of the advertisement for carriers on lines 20 and 22, boasted that there was a great interest in signing up.

I want to point out that there is a huge interest from interested people, that is, from people who have driven certain lines until now. Regarding the public call, it is open and offers all options and no restrictions – said Gligorov.

Meanwhile, there is a serious shortage of buses on the streets of the capital. The patience of the citizens is tested every day after they stand for half an hour or more at the stations waiting for the bus that will take them in the desired direction. Because of this, the buses are crowded, they are full of passengers, the displays at the stations do not accurately show the timetable, the buses are irregular – and dirty.

From JSP, with their capacities, they are trying to make up for the absence of private carriers, but this is difficult to achieve in conditions when hundreds of vehicles are missing from the field. The hope of the citizens was that carriers would apply to the two public announcements in order to solve the problem. According to the latest developments, the problems of Skopje citizens using public city transport will continue for a long time.
