JO requests detention for three of the five people detained in the case of the missing Vanja

The Public Prosecutor's Office reports that throughout the day they are taking actions to secure evidence in connection with the case of missing Vanja Gjochevska, who disappeared on Monday morning in Debar Maalo, while walking to school.

- For three of the five people detained yesterday, the public prosecutor submitted to the Basic Criminal Court Skopje a proposal for determining a 48-hour detention, in order to ensure their presence until the event is completely cleared up. The Public Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of the Interior will inform the public as soon as conditions are created that will not disrupt the procedure. All speculations that aim to compromise the investigation at this moment will be severely sanctioned - said the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski yesterday said that five people have been detained in connection with the case of the disappearance of 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska.

- The investigation has made progress, but in the interest of the investigation no more information can be given - said Spasovski.
