Detention of one of the thieves of the safe in Crnice

The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Skopje initiated proceedings against a 23-year-old man who is suspected of stealing a safe with money from a market in the Skopje neighborhood Crnice.

- On the night between March 31 and April 1, the suspect, together with three other people, broke into a closed market on Vostanicka street in Skopje, took a metal safe worth 12.000 denars, daily turnover in the amount of 228.000 denars and cigarettes worth 45.000 denars. or have a total value of 285.000 denars, the Public Prosecutor's Office announced today.

As stated in the announcement, they arrived in front of the market with a vehicle, using appropriate tools - pliers, pliers, etc. they worked on the entrance door of the market, but they failed to open it. One of the perpetrators started the vehicle and rear-ended it, breaking both sliding doors. Then, together with the other suspects, they dismantled them and placed them near the entrance to the market. Through the opening thus made, the suspect, together with other persons, entered the room intended for employees, from where they took the metal safe with daily turnover and cigarettes, and left in an unknown direction.

- Since there are circumstances that clearly indicate a danger of escape, the public prosecutor submitted to the judge of the preliminary procedure from the Basic Criminal Court Skopje a proposal for determining the measure of detention of the suspect. The police are working to find his accomplices, according to the Prosecutor's Office.
