The Princess of Wales arrived at Buckingham Palace

Britain's Princess of Wales has arrived at Buckingham Palace to take part in the royal Trooping the Color ceremony in London - her first public appearance since being diagnosed with an unspecified type of cancer.

On Friday, the Princess of Wales said she was "progressing well" in her cancer treatment.

The 42-year-old wife of Prince William has not appeared in public this year.

She announced in March that she was undergoing chemotherapy to deal with the disease.

She said: "I'm making good progress, but as anyone who goes through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days," adding that she has "a few more months" of treatment ahead of her.
