A side dish for countless dishes: A simple recipe for the most delicious roasted carrots

The baked ones carrots they can be an excellent addition to various dishes. They are naturally sweet and go perfectly with savory snacks, especially roast meat.

The combination of maple syrup and brown sugar is also good for the taste, and if you are a fan of spicy food - be sure to add some chili powder.

You don't need a lot of ingredients for this recipe, and you don't need any special skills in the kitchen. Put everything in a baking dish and put it in the oven. And that's it!


– 1 kg of medium-sized carrots
- 100 g of melted butter
- 70 g of brown sugar
– 70 ml of maple syrup
- half a teaspoon of chili powder
- salt if desired


Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Cover the dish with baking paper. Cut the washed carrots in half and spread them out. Melt the butter and mix it with the brown sugar and maple syrup. Add chili powder and salt as desired. Pour the resulting mixture evenly over the carrots and put them in the oven for 50 to 60 minutes until the vegetables soften and get a nice golden brown color. Check the carrots every 20 minutes and shake them on the baking sheet. Serve the carrots warm as a side dish if desired. Good appetite!
