The first premiere on the stage of the "Vojdan Chernodrinski" Theater is "Kir Janja"

The Prilep Theater "Vojdan Chernodrinski" celebrates 75 years since its founding with the event "Theater Week"

On February 18, 2025, the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vojdan Chernodrinski National Theater in Prilep will be marked. On the occasion of the anniversary, an event titled "Theatre Week" will be held from February 17 to 23, during which seven performances will be shown and a panel discussion "From 'Kir Janja' to 'The Student'" will be held.

In addition to the plays "The Student" and "Storm" by the "Vojdan Chernodrinski" Theater, the Prilep audience will watch guest performances by the Theater for Children and Youth from Skopje ("Ronja, the Robber's Daughter"), the independent theater "Zlaten Elets" ("Hinkemann"), the Veles Theater ("Dinner for Fools"), the Bitola Theater ("Hen") and the "MTC Zona" ("Chernodrinski Returns Home").

– Over the decades, the Vojdan Chernodrinski Theater, growing and developing through its performances, has raised real questions, commented, enlightened, excited, discovered, established a system of values, and made waves. It is the same now, and it will continue in that direction, because, as the actors say, they do what they do with love and dedication, despite the unfavorable working conditions (in an old building) – the theater emphasizes.
