Unemployment, emigration and limited opportunities are the main problems that young people in Albania and the countries in the region face on a daily basis, it was assessed at the regional ministerial meeting on youth and education, held in Tirana, with the participation of line ministers and representatives from the Western Balkans. and Italy.

At a meeting held on Albania's National Youth Day on December 8th, it was said that the list of gaps starts with unemployment, which then affects their emigration.

- One of the main challenges faced by young people today is unemployment, which as a major consequence brings emigration. We lack integrity in the country's institutions and we do not have adequate democracy. These, I believe, are the main consequences and the main problems that young people face, it was pointed out at the meeting.

The Secretary of the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation (RYCO), Albert Hani, considers the emigration of young people to be a regional problem.

- Over 52% of young people want to move out of the Western Balkans region. This is an alarming number, but also a new challenge for the actors who have undertaken to transform the path of the youth, he said, Ora News reports.

He also answered the question whether "Open Balkans" is a good opportunity to offer more to young people.

-All initiatives that unite the dreams of young people must be supported, added Hani.
