Justice Macedonia is on its knees, responds Alternativa
After the announcement that due to the absence of some of the defendants, the Skopje Court of Appeal postponed the session for "Titanic 2" to April 13, which means that the former director of UBK Sasho Mijalkov will not be convicted for participating in electoral irregularities in the local elections in 2013, because the criminal offense expires on April 7, the Aletrnativa party announced its reaction and criticism.
"The news that the hearing on the 'Titanic 2' case has been postponed for this case to expire is the most accurate proof not only of the extreme corruption of the judicial system, but also an absolute reason to accept the proposed amendment for constitutional changes by Alternative, according to which the cases of political corruption can never become obsolete", said Alternativa.
The party says that the case against Mijalkov is also a gift for the Minister of Justice, who has not yet expressed his opinion on the proposal of Alternative for the fight against political corruption.
"However, we hope that this decision is not part of the negotiations to create a majority for constitutional amendments." If political corruption is a tool for the European integration agenda, it shows that the European dream of this country is in decline," the announcement added.
