The singer said he allegedly received a message from a person who organized his previous concerts.
"I received a wonderful message from the person who was my impresario in Russia, who organized four performances for me in front of Putin, and who told me: 'Be ready by the end of August or the beginning of September, because we are going to hold a concert in the name of peace,'" the singer said.
Al Bano specified that the "for peace" concert is planned for Red Square.
"I said what my manager told me, and since he has never made a mistake in our business relations, I believe that will be the case this time too. The peace concert will be held on Red Square in Moscow. That is great news," the singer said.
As previously reported, the Kremlin has effectively declared war on all independent artists who have condemned the war in Ukraine. Their names have been blacklisted, which has been distributed to state institutions, concert organizers, promoters, and marketing agencies. Musicians are denied venues, actors are denied roles, directors are not allowed to direct plays or make films, and books by “unsuitable” writers have been removed from libraries and stores.
