The fight against the fire in Mariovo continues for the seventh day, which, according to the CMC, is the most widespread and the most difficult to extinguish

The fire in Mariovo is not abating - the fire has covered 1.600 hectares, and the line of fire has spread to 110 kilometers. The fire is being extinguished both from the ground and from the air, there are over 200 professionals on the ground trying to bring it under control, but the terrain is difficult to access, only one air-tractor is helping to extinguish the fire, because the other two are not working. The two police helicopters are not in operation either. Today, the army helicopter is involved, reports Sitel.

Low-stemmed plants, grass and degraded forest are mostly covered, and the forest belt is not covered on a large scale. For the seventh day, the fight against the fire in Mariovo continues, which according to the CMC is the most widespread and the most difficult to extinguish, and the firefighters, as well as other teams involved in stabilizing the fire, are hoping for rain, which will help them to localize the fire.
