The fire near the village of Furka and the Paljurtsi dam, between the municipalities of Dojran and Bogdanci, is still active. Since the morning, firefighters and employees of the forest holdings from Gevgelija, Dojran, Kavadarci, Valandovo and Strumica have been acting in a coordinated manner, CMC informs.

Due to the increased daytime temperatures, the intensity of the fire and the burning points increased in the middle of the day, for which air support was requested through the Crisis Management Center (CMC). A helicopter from the Ministry of Internal Affairs was dispatched, which operates together with the "air tractor" aircraft from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue.

If there is a need for additional air support, help will be requested from the Army, according to the CMC.

There is also an active fire in the Ohrid village of Rasino. An oak and pine forest is burning, and the fire is being extinguished by teams from TPPE Ohrid.
