Tetovo firefighters yesterday in an apartment on the fifth floor they successfully intervened and removed snake. The call arrived at around 18:30 pm in a building on Borce Kochovski Street. Firefighters managed to catch the snake in a short time and take it out of the apartment safely.

- A team responded to the call, a woman called and was very scared and called us. And she did not know what it was or was big and left the apartment. We have a suitable rod, a stick with which snakes are caught, we managed to take it out of the apartment and take it to a suitable institution, said Uka Aliti, commander of the Tetovo territorial firefighting unit.

During 2022, seven times so far, at the call of the citizens, the firefighters intervened and removed the snake.

- Until now, it was done from vehicles and yards, but for the first time from an apartment in Tetovo. It is mostly found in vehicles and yards due to the hot weather. They mostly intervened when snakes enter vehicles because they are left by the citizens in nature when they go on a picnic. The citizens call us and ask for help and we say there is no other institution where to call and that is why they ask us to intervene. We have gloves and protective equipment, explains Uka Aliti.

He appeals to the citizens to be careful not to do anything themselves, but to call the firefighters. They also intervened to rescue dogs and cats from hard-to-reach places.
