The injured in the accident in Novi Sad are in mortal danger

- The condition of the injured in the accident in Novi Sad is very serious, the Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today and stated that on Saturday 26 people were interrogated in connection with the accident, and five more people will be interrogated today. It is the second day of mourning in Vojvodina. Due to the tragedy in Novi Sad in Montenegro, today is the Day of Mourning.

- Only three of the 17 who were under the canopy survived and their injuries are severe, one of them, a boy born in 2006, had his legs amputated up to the ankles, a girl born in 2000 or 2001 had her legs amputated, while the second girl's hand was amputated, Dacic told RTS.

He pointed out that criminal and political responsibility will be determined for those responsible for the accident and stated that 26 people, including people from the Ministry of Transport led by Minister Vesic, were interrogated yesterday by order of the prosecutor in the Novi Sad police department, but that no one was detained because they are just gathering information.

He added that the investigation continues and that five more people will be questioned today.

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic confirmed yesterday that he made a statement at the Police Department in Novi Sad in the presence of a prosecutor in his capacity as a citizen regarding the accident that happened on Friday at the Railway Station.

- Immediately after the invitation I received today from the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office of Novi Sad, I went to the Police Department in Novi Sad and gave a statement as a citizen in the presence of the competent prosecutor. The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure is fully cooperating with the prosecutor's office to shed light on all the causes of this terrible tragedy, said Minister Vesic.

The mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Djuric, last night expressed hope that the three seriously injured in the accident at the Novi Sad railway station, who were placed in the Vojvodina Clinical Center, will survive and reminded that the inspection was completed by expert bodies and bodies, whose findings and opinion should they wait until everyone knows what happened.
