
More than 1.000 young Serbs have applied for a housing loan
More than 1.000 applications for housing loans for young people have been submitted so far, announced Postenska Shtedilnica, which was the first in Serbia to participate in the program for favorable housing loans for young people. According to data from the Ministry of Finance provided to Tanjug, "Postenska Shtedilnica" received 1.083 applications from Tuesday until noon yesterday.

In that group of young people, most of them – 24 percent – are between the ages of 33 and 35. Ten percent of those who applied for an apartment are young people aged 20 to 22, while those aged 23 to 25 make up 15 percent of the total number of applicants.
Young people aged 26 to 27 make up 12 percent of applicants for favorable housing loans, and those aged 27 to 29 – 15 percent. Young people aged 30 to 32 make up one fifth of applicants. Of those registered, 58 percent are employed on an indefinite basis, 12 percent are unemployed, as well as those working on a fixed-term contract. 16 percent of them have creditworthy guarantors. A third of those registered work in the public sector, 54 percent in the private sector.
Among those who applied, six percent are entrepreneurs and five percent are artists. Almost half of the young people – 47 percent of them – requested a loan of 99.000 euros, 12 percent requested 90.000, 14 percent – 80.000, 10 percent – 70.000 and seven percent – 60.000.
Eight percent of young people requested a minimum loan of 50.000 euros. One percent of young people requested repayment over 15 years, eight percent for 20 years, six percent for a quarter of a century, 32 percent for three decades and 16 percent for 35 years.
