The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Sveti Nikole initiated a procedure against a person suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "bribery during elections and voting". Proceedings are also being conducted against four people who received the bribe.

The suspect, as stated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, on October 15, 2021, in the municipality of Lozovo was spotted giving money to citizens to vote for an independent candidate. The documentation and the money that were found in the suspect's possession were confiscated with a certificate.

- The suspect was detained at the police station. Following the instructions of the prosecution, the police officers collect notifications from the persons who received the funds in the amount of three thousand denars. Other actions are being taken to clear up the incident, the statement said.
